Over the past few days, I’ve savored doing nothing—losing track of time, not opening my laptop, journaling, and reading.
As I reflect on the year, I feel so grateful for how I’ve been able to design my life. I can’t wait to see how it evolves in the year ahead. This reflection has energized me to create a recap here—both to celebrate the journey we’ve taken with Out of Office and to look back on my personal journey, highs and lows, this year.
I hope this overview gives you a look into what life as the founder of Out of Office looks like :) and inspires you to reimagine what everyday living can look like.
With Out of Office, my aim is to champion more creative ways of working and living while providing the tools and resources to support a lifestyle beyond the traditional 9-5 office framework. To break away from the daily routine, and invest in and discover what makes you feel most alive.
January
Tenerife and La Gomera
I started the year in La Gomera and Tenerife, spending a week hiking in breathtaking landscapes and working from charming cafés in local towns.
Jan/February
London Days
My husband and I tried to settle into London—the city we had chosen as our home for this year—but it never quite clicked (we left again this Fall).

Barcelona
I decided to spend a month in one of my favorite cities, soaking up the sun, vibrancy, and creativity that Barcelona has to offer. It was extra special as my brother was also there, and we were able to spend time together, in the same place. We also hosted an OOO Field Trip event in Barcelona!

March
March was definitely the toughest month this year (and prob of my whole life so far). I found out I was pregnant, which brought so much joy, but I had a miscarriage a few weeks later. It broke my heart, and I experienced a depth of pain I had never known before.
April/May
We launched the Out of Office Uniform!
This experiment was pure joy, involving the OOO community in co-design sessions and scouting work-and-play locations. Seeing so many of you join this journey was an incredible gift, and working with co-creator Shuya too!
May
I flew to Morocco to co-facilitate a workshop and creative scavenger hunt at the House of Beautiful Business conference. We helped attendees stay present during the conference and helped end the 3-day conference with a community-focused experience centered on creativity and collective dreaming.

Later in May, I traveled to LA and NYC. I needed time away from everything that had happened, met friends, soaked up inspiration, and celebrated the launch of our OOO Uniform with the LA and NYC communities.

June
My husband and I took a three-week vacation in Japan, where we immersed ourselves in nature, indulged in amazing food, and reflected on what’s next for us—all while embracing a slower pace of life.

September
I spent most of September between Austria and Italy, celebrating that I got pregnant again 💛 (with lots of gelato in Venice!) and hosting our first Out of Office in-person residency in Northern Italy with my co-host, Dana (more residencies coming in 2025, sign up for the waitlist!)

October
Enjoyed some sunny days in London, a beautiful week in Mallorca, and launched our online program “A Course on Living Creatively” 🎨 whoop whoop! We’ve got the most magical group, so very grateful for this crew and cant wait to host more next year!

November
November brought me back to NYC for two weeks of soaking up Fall energy 🍁 I worked from cafés, explored markets and my fav Brooklyn streets, and had inspiring conversations with some of my favorite people 🫂

December
My husband and I spent the first half of December in Italy with his family, where I cherished my growing belly and enjoyed a mini babymoon at a stunning spa in the Tuscan hills 🌿
